Observation Sessions at the Cody Astronomy

The society arranges evening club nights/observing sessions during year. These are held at the Cody Observatory at Farnborough. There will be experienced observers on hand to help coordinate viewing for the evening and the usage of the Cody Telescope. If the weather is inclement, a club night will be held and there will be informal talks in the observatory clubroom. The society's 8" Meade reflector will also be available and there may be opportunities to try some photography.

All members are encouraged to attend, be they novices or experts and, if they wish, to bring along their own telescopes if the weather is fine. Please note any equipment brought on site is done so entirely at your own risk.

Actual dates will be advertised at short notice according to the weather forecast. An email and/or WhatsApp notification will be sent out to members shortly beforehand. Parking arrangements are as shown in the map. Members are kindly requested to use sidelights only when driving up Radar Road to avoid their headlights affecting the night vision of observers already on site.
